Energy Assistance
(Multnomah County)

Latino Network offers Energy Assistance to Multnomah County residents! We assist with the following energy bills: PGE, Pacific Power, NW Natural, heating fuel (e.g. oil, wood, propane).

Please have the following documents prepared for your scheduled intake appointment:

  • Photo ID for all household members age 18 ✅

  • Social Security cards for all household members (if you do not have one, you may still qualify)

  • Current utility bill

  • Proof of income for all household members who are 18 and older for the last 30 days ✅

If you are at risk of a shut-off, we encourage you to contact your energy provider and make arrangements as soon as possible. Utility companies may be able to sign you up for discount programs and offer payment arrangements or an extension.

Here is some additional information on what individuals can expect while scheduling appointments through our energy appointment line (503-208-2174):

  • When calling, it's important to have a pen and paper handy as well as a current contact number.

  • If there are no available appointments, please check back the next day as new slots may become available.

  • If you miss your energy appointment, you'll need to schedule a new one by calling the energy line. Please note that we do not accept walk-ins. All intake appointments are done over the phone.

  • When calling the prompts will be available in Spanish and English. It will then provide you with the following options:

    • To make an appointment, press 1. You will be asked to provide either a contact number or a social security number. Once you provide the necessary information, you will be offered an appointment date and time. If the appointment time does not work for you, please hang up and call again to be offered a new appointment time, if available. If the appointment time works for you, it is important that you remain on the line until you receive and confirm the confirmation number. If you do not hear and confirm the confirmation number, the appointment will not be saved.

    • To verify an existing appointment, press 2

    • To cancel an appointment, press 3

    • To hear important information, such as items you need to prepare for your appointment, press 5

  • Eligible clients are under 60% State Median Family Income, reside in Multnomah County in the unit where the energy assistance is needed.
