ROBERT TATE
TREASURER
Bob Tate works as an independent innovation, design and product development consultant for the global consumer products industry. Raised in Canada and schooled as an engineer at Queen’s University, Bob spent a 30 year career in the R&D and supply chain operations of The Procter & Gamble Company, with postings in Canada, US, Mexico, Japan and the Philippines. After retirement, Bob founded the US office of an award-winning global engineering and design consultancy in Cincinnati, Ohio.
He currently provides executive consultation in innovation strategy and operations leadership to select early stage start-up ventures. This experience has fostered a continuing interest in education and community economic development, with a particular focus on equity, inclusion and leadership mentoring.
Bob and his family settled in Portland in 2015, seeking to experience the beautiful Pacific Northwest and to establish deep ties to this adopted community. He was privileged to establish an early connection to Latino Network as a volunteer and Partner with Social Venture Partners – Portland support of culturally-specific preschool education programs. In his free time, Bob and his wife enjoy the diversity of local arts and restaurant experiences offered by Portland, and continue to frequently explore new global travel destinations.
