mental HEALTH program

The Latino Network Mental Health Program is excited to share its vision for mental health and wellness services for the latine community. We envision a future where every latine has equitable access to effective and compassionate mental health services, fostering resilience, growth, and mental wellness within their communities. Our mission is to advance the mental health of latines by increasing access to high-quality, culturally relevant treatment services. We are committed to breaking down barriers, advocating for equitable resources, and providing tailored support that addresses the unique needs of latine communities. In addition, we are committed to expanding and diversifying the culturally specific mental health workforce to better serve these communities. Through collaborative partnerships, education, and advocacy, we strive to empower latines to achieve optimal mental health and thrive.

Our programs include partnering with Hillsboro School District to implement the SBIRT screening program. SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment) is a public health strategy aimed at reducing unhealthy substance use. Referrals are currently only accepted through the HSD via the SBIRT screening process. The primary goal of SBIRT is to prevent or mitigate substance use to avoid related health issues, accidents, and injuries. These referrals will be addressed through our Mental Health Program, in partnership with Portland State University. We are strongly dedicated to our mission and values, and we are excited to collaborate in making a meaningful impact on the mental health and well-being of the latine community.

Our Vision: A future with equitable, compassionate mental health for Latine individuals and families.

Our Mission: To advance Latine mental health through access, advocacy, and culturally specific high-quality care, while expanding a diverse workforce. Through collaborative partnerships, education, and advocacy, we strive to empower Latines to achieve optimal mental health and thrive.
